FOR THE TENTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR, JC&A NAMED A BEST PLACE TO WORK BY THE BOSTON BUSINESS JOURNAL

J. Calnan & Associates (JC&A) has once again been recognized by the Boston Business Journal as one of Massachusetts’ Best Places to Work, earning the #2 ranking in the medium-sized company category. This marks the tenth consecutive year JC&A has received the honor, a distinction awarded to companies that have created exceptional workplace cultures and employee experiences.

As JC&A celebrates its 30th Anniversary, this recognition serves as a meaningful reflection of the culture the company has built over the past three decades. Through its We Build…® Our Legacy, Together campaign, JC&A is celebrating not only what it has built, but how it has built it—by investing in its people, fostering strong relationships, supporting its communities, embracing a family-first culture, and harnessing the power of team.

While the award recognizes workplace excellence, what makes the achievement especially meaningful is the culture behind it—a place where employees are empowered to grow professionally, build lasting relationships, and do meaningful work alongside teammates who genuinely care about one another’s success.

“This recognition is especially meaningful as we celebrate 30 years of JC&A,” said CEO Jay Calnan. “We’re incredibly proud to once again be named one of the Best Places to Work by the Boston Business Journal—a distinction we’ve earned for ten consecutive years. What makes that achievement even more remarkable is that we’ve consistently ranked among the top three companies in our category throughout that time.

That level of consistency is no accident. It’s the result of the extraordinary people who make up this organization and the culture we’ve built together. At JC&A, relationships matter. We succeed because we show up for one another, for our clients, and for the communities we serve. That commitment to trust, teamwork, gratitude, and mutual respect is at the heart of who we are—and it’s a legacy we’re proud to continue building every day.”

“This year’s companies once again have set the bar for employers looking to attract and retain top talent,” said Carolyn Jones, Market President and Publisher of the Boston Business Journal. “In such a competitive hiring environment, the Best Places to Work employers continue to outshine their peers and competitors.”

To determine the rankings, eligible companies participated in employee engagement surveys administered by the Boston Business Journal’s research partner, Quantum Workplace. Employees were asked to evaluate their workplace across key categories including culture, leadership, communication, work-life balance, professional development, compensation, and overall job satisfaction.

For JC&A, the recognition reflects what has always been at the core of the company: building more than projects—building relationships, opportunities, communities, and a legacy that continues to grow stronger with every passing year.
