Myles Standish Groundbreaking Ceremony Marks a New Chapter in Taunton’s Development

Nearly 75 guests gathered to commemorate the start of construction on a significant new development at the Business Park at Myles Standish. The groundbreaking ceremony marked the beginning of a 180,000 SF flex/manufacturing facility located at 55 Dever Drive in Taunton, MA, set to be delivered next summer.  The project is being constructed speculatively and aims to offer life science, flex, or manufacturing space to prospective tenants seeking a specialized facility.

The Myles Standish Industrial Park, a 1,029-acre industrial campus in Taunton, Massachusetts, provides competitive labor costs and draws from a substantial, well-trained labor pool from a population base of over one million people in Southeastern Massachusetts and Northern Rhode Island. The park hosts a diverse range of businesses, including office users, high-tech companies, manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution centers.

Representatives from J. Calnan & Associates (JC&A) joined Rhino Capital Advisors, Taunton city officials, and members of the extended project team—including Randall Paulson Architects, Mass Development, and Colliers—to celebrate this milestone.

Dan Charest, Partner and Project Executive at JC&A, shared his excitement about the project: “This development is a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation. We are thrilled to be part of a project that will bring significant economic and social benefits to the Taunton community.”

Michael Olson, Managing Principal of Rhino Capital Advisors, praised the project’s vision: “The start of construction here at Myles Standish represents more than just a new building; it symbolizes progress and a commitment to creating high-paying jobs that enhance the quality of life for both employees and the community.”

The new facility is designed to support a variety of uses, combining flexibility with advanced manufacturing capabilities. This project underscores the ongoing development and growth within Taunton and reflects a broader commitment to driving economic development in the region.
