1/23/2015, Quincy, MA — J. Calnan & Associates, Miller Dyer Spears and R.W. Sullivan have recently completed construction at Malden Catholic High School, located at 99 Crystal Street in Malden, MA.
This project included installing a full sprinkler system servicing approximately 48,000 SF of multi-use spaces, including the gymnasium, auditorium, learning center and laboratories. There were 5 new laboratory spaces built which included lab casework, benches, epoxy countertops, six emergency showers and eye stations, and a 150 gallon neutralization tank with limestone chips and a PH monitoring system for lab drainage. The lab spaces also added 2 new fume hoods, for a total of 4, equipped with sinks and natural gas supplies.
The new 5,000 SF learning center included all new glass storefront, carpet, specialty ceilings and lighting, and high end millwork desks and display cases. The project also included installing a brand new elevator in a new CMU shaft which required modifications to the steel, roof and MEP systems.
