Calnan & Associates, Inc., one of New England’s leading construction management firms specializing in world-class pre-construction services and challenging construction projects, recently completed a challenging 31,000 square foot interior fit-out for Waste Management at Patriot Place in Foxboro.
Working collaboratively with The Kraft Group, Visnick & Caulfield and RDK Engineers J. Calnan & Associates and the team overcame significant challenges to complete this fast track project in just seven short weeks. The project started from shell space with no existing perimeter drywall, bathrooms or mechanical and electrical infrastructure. In addition, the building was fully occupied throughout construction and the busy holiday season attracted heavy pedestrian traffic. Security, noise and common area cleanliness were top of mind and were kept at acceptable standards during all working hours.
Highlights of the project include a new state-of-the-art server room to accommodate Waste Management’s MIS infrastructure, modern energy efficient restrooms, a cutting edge training room complete with moveable dividing partitions, custom wood doors throughout, and a vaulted elevator lobby as well as a new café. Additionally the team built a second floor roof top deck which required the addition of an exterior door to the building and a handicap ramp.
