Family, Kindness, Relationships
Sue’s journey with JC&A is a testament to her deep commitment to both family and community—qualities that have always guided her personal and professional life. Having joined JC&A nine years ago, Sue’s connection to the company began in a very special way: through her son, Anthony, who was interning at a recruiting company. Recognizing that Sue’s background and personality would be a great fit for the company, he encouraged her to apply for a role. Sue started as a Project Accountant, and her hard work and dedication earned her a promotion to Senior Project Accountant.
Throughout her time at JC&A, Sue has become much more than a valued colleague; she’s a big part of the company’s culture. She’s a giver—always looking for ways to help, especially when it involves family and giving back to the community. One of Sue’s proudest moments at JC&A was being a key part of the company’s long-standing partnership with the Special Olympics of Massachusetts. Her involvement in the Special Olympics—whether at basketball, football, or bocce tournaments—speaks to her generous spirit and her desire to honor her brother Thomas while making a real difference.
Sue’s passion for family is also reflected in her work at JC&A. For her, the company’s culture is not just about completing tasks; it’s about building relationships and making meaningful connections. She is a proud Nanna to a growing family and is always looking for ways to support her loved ones. Whether it’s crafting with her Cricut or cooking up an Italian feast, Sue’s home is filled with warmth, love, and the essence of family.
At JC&A, Sue embodies the spirit of “The JC&A Way,” which, to her, means family, friendship, and teamwork. It’s this sense of unity and collaboration that drew her to the company in the first place and continues to motivate her today. Sue values the bonds she’s formed with her coworkers and is always up for fun activities that bring everyone together—whether it’s a friendly cook-off, a pizza-and-salad luncheon, or simply sharing a laugh during office shenanigans.
It’s no surprise that Sue has also infused this love for family into the JC&A workplace. She started JC&A’s Annual Friendsgiving dinner tradition as a way to bring everyone together to celebrate the spirit of gratitude and camaraderie—much like the gatherings she holds with her own family. Friendsgiving has become a time for the women of JC&A to share food, stories, and laughter. For Sue, these moments of connection reflect the values she holds dear: Famiglia, community, gratitude, and the importance of nurturing relationships. It’s not just about the food; it’s about the bonds created over shared meals and the sense of unity that defines both her family and the JC&A team.
When asked about her proudest moments at JC&A, Sue doesn’t hesitate to mention the times she’s been able to get hands-on with projects like the Skating Club of Boston and 14 Oak Park Drive, where she spent time on the jobsite and formed close connections with the owners. For Sue, these projects represented more than just work—they were opportunities to build lasting relationships and contribute in a meaningful way.
As a proud Italian and someone who loves to cook, Sue is always ready to share a meal or a recipe with friends and family. Her love for food is part of her larger desire to care for those around her, and it’s something she brings to both her home life and her work at JC&A. From her famous Italian dishes to her crafty creations, Sue brings a little bit of Italy—and a whole lot of heart—into everything she does.
Through it all, Sue remains humble, grateful for the relationships she has built at JC&A, and the sense of belonging she’s found there. For Sue, it’s not just about the work she does—it’s about the people she does it with. And in her eyes, that’s what truly makes JC&A a special place.
