It’s hard to believe that Molly Gates joined JC&A an astonishing 19 years ago… an especially impressive achievement, as she is now only 25 years old! As a Tufts grad, Molly fit right in with this crew, and quickly made a name for herself here working on projects for clients including Viega, GE Sensing, Boston Properties, Pega and iRobot.
Molly quickly rose in the ranks to Project Executive and has proven to be a huge asset with repeat clients including The Park School and Middlesex Savings Bank. Molly’s quick wit, robust laugh and can-do attitude are her legacy among these clients who keep coming back for more! Everyone – from clients to subcontractors to JC&A teammates – know that we can count on Molly to get us over the finish line of a multi-year construction project with a smile.
You would think with such dynamic clients on her roster, one of these projects would be her proudest achievement, but instead, she shares that watching the young teams that she has mentored succeed is what brings her tremendous satisfaction.
“Watching team members develop into leaders is a source of pride. My favorite tradition is the way we acknowledge and celebrate project milestones and team successes. It reinforces why we are all willing to endure the stress along the way!”
However, if forced to choose her most memorable projects over the past 19 years, Molly says, “I’ve most enjoyed the opportunities where we are entrusted to perform repeat work with clients we love. Park School and the crew at Boston Properties come to mind. Those tend to be the most fun”… especially once we can look back on the challenges we overcame together and appreciate the final result.
Of course, internally Molly is famous for keeping everyone on their toes—often the first to call someone out for a dreaded “reply-all” email and never hesitating to unsubscribe herself!
For Molly, the JC&A Way is about maintaining high standards while staying flexible and being problem solvers, rather than just problem identifiers. I think we can all agree that when we’re faced with a challenge, Molly is someone we want leading the way out of the foxhole!
