Catch Up with Jimmy Tarchara

Catch Up with Jimmy Tarchara

James (Jimmy) Tarchara, a dedicated Project Accountant at JC&A, has a bright future ahead of him.

Jimmy joined us in December 2019 as an intern in the estimating department while still studying at Wentworth. After graduating in 2021, he made the leap into the accounting department, working closely with Tony Burke.

Why did Jimmy choose to apply for an internship at JC&A? While researching various companies, on the advice of his professors, he was impressed by a video on our website that highlighted JC&A’s camaraderie and culture—and he knew he wanted to be a part of it. (And no, the marketing team didn’t pay him to say that!)

During his time at JC&A, Jimmy hasn’t just been crunching numbers—he’s been busy giving back to the community through JCares initiatives like Father Bill’s, Special Olympics, and all things Team IMPACT. He also serves as Treasurer of JCares. On top of that, Jimmy loves our office sports traditions—whether it’s Fantasy Football, March Madness, Super Bowl Squares, or The Masters Pool, he’s in it to win it (though we’re still waiting to hear how his fantasy football team fared last season).

If you’re part of the lunchtime crew in the JCAfe, you know Jimmy makes a mean buffalo chicken dip. And if you’ve attended some of the young professional nights, you’ve probably noticed his impressive shoe collection.

When it comes to work, Jimmy’s had the opportunity to be involved in some great projects, including SunLife (with Joe Pires, Jim Hadley, and Ethan Fatcheric), Amazon (with Dan Charest, Jon Meier, Jack Santilli, and Austin Bradrick), and Acushnet (with Scott Trull, Andrew Marsano, and Victoria Young).

For Jimmy, “The JC&A Way” is all about being supportive—creating an environment where everyone feels valued and heard. He credits his success to JC&A’s approachable leadership and a culture where everyone’s strengths and skills are encouraged to shine.

Oh, and in case you didn’t know, Jimmy has some hidden talents: he can do a full split (yes, the Hanumanasana yoga pose), and we’re all waiting for him to don a cowboy hat and get a full sleeve tattoo.

We’re watching, Jimmy!
