6/20/2014, Quincy, MA — J. Calnan & Associates, Perkins + Will and RDK Engineers Complete Schneider Electric’s Boston One Campus.
Schneider Electric USA, Inc. wanted to consolidate a number of its North American operations into 800 Federal Street in Andover, MA to create their new Boston One Campus location. They engaged the team of J. Calnan & Associates, Perkins + Will, and RDK Engineers to execute their vision.
The overall scope of the project involved the construction of a 77,288 SF addition (with related sitework) to the existing 158,655 SF building. There was also a significant tenant improvement package totaling 235,943 SF to both the existing building and the new addition that included a combination of open office, offices, conference rooms and dry labs. The sizable project required eight hundred pieces of steel weighing over 315 tons!
Some of the first floor amenities include a large conferencing and training center, full service cafeteria, cutting-edge fitness center as well as a hospitality lounge. Additionally, the LEED certified project included a chilled beam mechanical system.
