JC&A has enjoyed a long-term relationship with Eastern Bank, having delivered over 300,000 SF of space throughout five seperate projects.

 

In Dedham, MA, the JC&A team delivered a brand new, Ground-Up construction of Eastern Bank’s new branch with drive-thru banking. The project was a wood-framed, one-story slab on grade structure, and was delivered in 18 weeks.

 

In Natick, MA, the JC&A team coordinated closely with project engineers to ensure that the new building could be sustained over existing underground structures, drainage and sewage utilities. Ultimately, JC&A delivered a new branch on the small lot, tightly bordered by MBTA tracks.

 

In Stoneham, MA, JC&A demolished an existing restaurant to make way for the new branch. The team consulted with engineers to relocate unsuitable soil that was discovered throughout the site.

 

In Lynn, MA, the JC&A team performed renovations to Eastern Bank’s existing 250,000 SF headquarters. Project highlights included installation of a new 1.5 Million BTU boiker in the penthouse to support 75 new heating and cooling coil units over 5 floors. The team also installed a new riser and 4-pipe distribution loop around the perimeter of occupied floors.

 

JC&A’s latest collaboration with Eastern Bank is a 53,000 SF, multi-floor tenant fit out at Edgewater Drive in Wakefield, MA. Partnering with Cushman & Wakefield (OPM), SGA (Architect) and AVID Engineers, JC&A delivered a new Class A office space with new finishes, a combination of open and ACT ceilings

As Director of Preconstruction., J.R. has 20 years of experience in the A/E/C industry ranging from conceptual estimates to delivering GMP pricing with hard bid/lump sum as well as value analysis and constructability reviews His extensive experience with life science, corporate buildouts, and ground-up buildings has made him a valuable asset to the JC&A family. J.R.’s involvement in multiple projects ranging in size and complexity from 245 5th Ave., 690 Canton, Merchant’s Row, Boston Dynamics, irobot, and Boston Harley-Davidson makes him an asset for JCA and our clients.

Beyond being our “go-to” on our cornerstone projects, J.R. is constantly a mentor helping with the overall development of the Estimating department. He leads by example, his estimating skillset, technical aptitude, organization, and preconstruction game-planning through final client delivery is second to none.

J.R. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from The University of Southern Mississippi and is a LEED Accredited Professional. He also proudly serves on the Duxbury Youth Baseball board. When he’s not coaching baseball, J.R. spends time on the beach in Duxbury, MA with his family.
