Memorial Scholarship Spotlight

Memorial Scholarship Spotlight

JC&A was honored to present the JC&A Memorial Scholarship Fund to Marissa Bridges, daughter of Project Superintendent Eric Bridges, at our fall company meeting last week.

This marks the 9th student honored through the memorial fund, established in 2016 to support a deserving member of our JC&A family while honoring the lives of teammates we’ve lost. The fund is an annual, merit-based competition, that focuses on rewarding children and/or dependents of JC&A employees for their commitment to academic achievement and consistent civic and community involvement.

The Memorial Fund honors three JC&A superintendents – Stephen Terrenzi, James Gunning, and George Smith. The idea for the memorial fund was created by Mike Keaney, Director of Field Operations. Having worked closely with Stephen, James, and George, he credits them with teaching him and others at the company so much about the industry and hard work, but also about generosity and kindness. His idea was warmly received and quickly implemented by the partners.

JC&A is grateful to be able to support team members like Mike, and to honor the lives of our JC&A superintendents by carrying forward their legacy of excellence and service through the recipients of the fund.

Congratulations to all the JC&A family members who have been selected – Marissa Bridges, Maren Hines, John Burke, Tim Cooper, Natalie Casilli, Jacqueline Meier, Nicole White, John Noone Jr, and our very first winner, Michelle Meier!
