8/13/2010, Quincy, MA — J. Calnan & Associates, Inc. one of New England’s leading construction management firms specializing in world-class preconstruction services and challenging construction projects, announced today that Joe Pires has re-joined the Quincy-based company as an Assistant Project Manager. In this capacity, he will be responsible for working with the Project Manager to advance JC&A’s ability to deliver superior project management services to our clients.

In addition, Mr. Pires is responsible for assisting the Project Manager and Project Executive with the day-to-day operations of the project. Some of his other responsibilities include preparing and processing all RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, meeting minutes and reports for weekly construction meetings. His experience includes extensive understanding of project scheduling and phasing as well as cost management throughout the construction project.

Mr. Pires is a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology and joined JC&A upon graduation to work with our team on projects such as Instron, The Mathworks, Thayer Academy, and Eastern Bank to name a few. He left to pursue his own redevelopment project in Historic Downtown New Bedford and is now back at JC&A.
