As JC&A concludes another successful summer internship program, we are excited to spotlight two individuals who have transitioned from interns to full-time roles: Kristyn Moran and Kenny Borwornthammarat.
Kristyn Moran began her journey with JC&A in June 2023 as a summer intern. From the start, Kristyn immersed herself in our JConnects program, eagerly participating in JC&A and industry-sponsored events. Her proactive approach allowed her to refine her relationship-building skills and deepen her understanding of the construction industry. Initially focused on learning and shadowing, Kristyn’s dedication quickly earned her more responsibilities. Within just two weeks, she was actively involved in APM work, gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Her growth continued as she returned to complete her senior year at Connecticut College where she also played soccer. By June 2024, Kristyn was offered a full-time position as a Project Coordinator, marking a significant milestone in her career. One of Kristyn’s favorite JC&A traditions is the company’s kickball game, where she enjoyed connecting with colleagues outside the office, while gobbling up everything kicked to her in the outfield. Her favorite project has been 36 Middlesex Bedford, which solidified her decision to pursue a career in construction management. Working alongside team members like Stephane Batton, Chet Braun, Victoria Young, and Matt Cahill, Kristyn learned invaluable lessons in communication, teamwork, and project synergy.
For Kristyn, “The JC&A Way” represents a commitment to excellence and collective success. The mantra “We Build” resonates with her, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and relationships in driving both project success and a positive work environment.
Kenny Borwornthammarat joined JC&A in May 2024 as an intern and quickly demonstrated his potential, leading to an offer for a full-time position as Assistant Superintendent. Kenny’s journey began through our partnership with the Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology, where Dave Conner connected with students in the Construction Management program. This relationship reflects our commitment to nurturing diverse, talented young leaders in construction.
Kenny was drawn to JC&A’s “We Build” philosophy, which focuses on creating exceptional teams, delivering award-winning projects, and fostering lasting relationships. He values our dedication to exceptional customer service and our emphasis on treating everyone as a client. Kenny’s proudest moment so far has been his promotion to Assistant Superintendent, marking the first of many anticipated milestones in his career.
Among his favorite JC&A traditions is the “Dog Days of Summer,” which brings a fun, relaxed atmosphere to the office. Kenny also highlights projects such as Amazon in Worcester and 24 Crosby as significant learning experiences, thanks to the skilled and supportive teams he’s had the pleasure to work with.
For Kenny, “The JC&A Way” embodies a commitment to excellence, relationship-building, and positive community contributions. We are excited to see where Kenny’s talent and dedication will lead him and are proud to have him as part of our team.
As we celebrate Kristyn and Kenny’s achievements, we look forward to their continued growth and contributions at JC&A.
