As JC&A celebrates its 30th Anniversary, it’s the people who have grown alongside the company that truly define who we are. Jeff is one of those people. With nearly 20 years at JC&A, his story is deeply intertwined with our legacy and just as much a part of our future.
Jeff joined JC&A 19 years ago after starting his career at a large general contractor in Boston. When that company began facing financial challenges, Jeff did what he always does—he asked questions, explored his options, and talked to people. After meeting with several firms, JC&A quickly became the clear choice. Hired as a Project Manager, Jeff progressed through Senior PM and PX before becoming a Partner, a path shaped by hard work, continuous learning, and a genuine passion for building.
Spend a few minutes talking with Jeff and you’ll quickly learn that he loves a good conversation. Get him going on a project, a lesson learned, or a challenge overcome, and his enthusiasm is unmistakable. That passion has fueled some of JC&A’s most impactful work and made him a natural mentor to those around him.
When Jeff reflects on his proudest moments, he doesn’t narrow it down to just one. Early in his career, managing 200 Forest Street was a defining experience that taught him lessons he still carries today. Equally meaningful was completing the 180,000-square-foot Skating Club of Boston, an Olympic-caliber, three-rink facility built through wetland constraints and COVID—making it one of the most rewarding learning experiences thus far. Over the years, Jeff has led an impressive range of projects that showcase both technical excellence and creativity. From the Philips Andover offices, with their cool architectural lighting and curved design elements, to the Kayak.com space featuring angled custom bars, two-story theater seating carved into the office, a three-story stainless-steel slide, and endless glass details. At 200 Forest Street, Jeff helped repurpose over 550,000 square feet across a sprawling office campus, coordinating complex core and shell improvements while working alongside multiple development teams. Each project tells part of the story of how Jeff approaches his work—with curiosity, care, and a willingness to learn something new every time.
What Jeff values most about JC&A, though, goes far beyond projects. He loves the family traditions and the way JC&A extends into the lives of the people who work here. Kids grow up knowing the company and its people. Spouses build friendships of their own. Halloween celebrations, summer parties, and shared milestones make it clear that this is more than just a place to work.
Jeff knows that firsthand. Affectionately known as “Rusty” in true JC&A fashion, his buddies once famously kidnapped him from the office and brought him straight to his bachelor party—a moment that perfectly captures the family spirit we have here. Over the years, we’ve watched Jeff and his wife, Maria, grow their family—welcoming two sons, Christian and Lucas—celebrate countless milestones, and even make the move from the North Shore to be closer to the office. The family connection runs deep here, too: Jeff’s sister-in-law, Laura, was part of our team for seven years.
To Jeff, the JC&A Way is an unwritten promise. It’s a commitment to clients, partners, consultants, and teammates to always do what’s right, to leave every project with stronger relationships than when it began, and to support one another with whatever it takes to succeed.
When he’s not in the office or on a jobsite, Jeff’s coaching instincts stay front and center. You’ll likely find him on a soccer field coaching one of Christian or Lucas’ teams or working on his golf game. Just like at JC&A, he’s a natural teacher—patient, personable, and always invested in helping others improve.
Looking back, Jeff describes his career at JC&A as a true privilege. To experience professional growth, opportunity, recognition, flexibility, mentorship, meaningful relationships, and to genuinely enjoy coming to work for nearly two decades is something few people get. Jeff is grateful for those who came before him and proud to stand alongside those who will carry the JC&A legacy forward.
