JC&A’s Focused Special Projects Division Awarded Several New Projects

7/15/2011, Quincy, MA — J. Calnan & Associates, Inc., one of New England’s leading construction management firms specializing in world-class pre-construction services and challenging construction projects, is pleased to announce that it’s focused Special Projects Division was recently awarded several new fast-track office fit-out projects. The projects include renovations for Liberty Mutual, KSP Financial Consultants and Clearview Healthcare Partners.

 

JC&A is working with Hellyer Berman Lewis, Inc. Architects and AHA Consulting Engineers on the fit-out to Liberty Mutual Insurance’s office in Weston, MA. The project consists of demolition of an existing non-occupied tenant space including the construction of new offices, open office area, conference rooms, service area, waiting area, server room, and electrical closet. New finishes will be provided throughout the new spaces as well.

 

KSP Financial Consultants in Waltham, MA consists of renovating nearly 10,000 square feet of general office space as well as upgrades to the base building. The project team includes CBRE’s Property Management group and Visnick and Caulfield Architects.

 

JC&A is working with TA Associates Realty and Paul Bernotis Consulting to complete Clearview Healthcare Partners in Newton, MA. The project consists of the construction of 6k SF of new office space including private offices and conference rooms. The project scope also requires all new ductwork, lighting and high-end finishes.

As Director of Preconstruction., J.R. has 20 years of experience in the A/E/C industry ranging from conceptual estimates to delivering GMP pricing with hard bid/lump sum as well as value analysis and constructability reviews His extensive experience with life science, corporate buildouts, and ground-up buildings has made him a valuable asset to the JC&A family. J.R.’s involvement in multiple projects ranging in size and complexity from 245 5th Ave., 690 Canton, Merchant’s Row, Boston Dynamics, irobot, and Boston Harley-Davidson makes him an asset for JCA and our clients.

Beyond being our “go-to” on our cornerstone projects, J.R. is constantly a mentor helping with the overall development of the Estimating department. He leads by example, his estimating skillset, technical aptitude, organization, and preconstruction game-planning through final client delivery is second to none.

J.R. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from The University of Southern Mississippi and is a LEED Accredited Professional. He also proudly serves on the Duxbury Youth Baseball board. When he’s not coaching baseball, J.R. spends time on the beach in Duxbury, MA with his family.
