J. Calnan & Associates and Drummey Rosane Anderson expand the Sage School’s Campus

Calnan & Associates, Inc. one of New England’s leading construction management firms specializing in world-class preconstruction services and challenging construction projects, recently celebrated a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Sage School marking the completion of the 33 percent school expansion.
The Sage School Gym and Arts Wing Addition are two different independent structural buildings that were erected simultaneously. Working collaboratively with architect, Drummey Rosane Anderson; engineers, Mass Bay Colony Group and owner’s representative, Keystone Construction & Management, Inc, the additions totaling 13,000 square feet include environmentally friendly mechanical systems and exterior colors with low emissivity.
A highlight of the evening included a tour of the new wing where entry posters from JC&A’s Kids Care safety program were prominently displayed. Kids Care is a safety initiative established to serve as a constant reminder to the campus, children and all the tradesmen about the importance of construction safety. Our dedicated safety officer teaches the students valuable lessons about safety and the students then enter a poster contest depicting what safety means to them. The winning poster is enlarged for everyone to see when they enter and exit the jobsite keeping safety top of mind at all times.
The Sage School is the latest addition to an impressive private school portfolio that includes Thayer Academy, Notre Dame Academy, Newton Country Day School, Phillips Academy, Bishop Feehan, Eastern Nazarene College and Tufts University.
