As Director of Science & Technology of J. Calnan & Associates, Inc., Chris offers over thirty years of experience in the construction Industry. Chris has worked on a variety of challenging projects in all aspects of commercial construction with a focus on the Science and Technology Market for the past 20.

Chris was raised in a construction family having started his career in the field at a very early age. He studied at the University of NH and Wentworth Institute of Technology to develop his natural skills for the more complex projects in the Science & Technology sector.

His leadership, technical knowledge and hands on experience have ensured the most complicated projects are always completed with predictable excellence. Whether the project is a complete mechanical floor equipment upgrade, an operational vivarium or a cGmp facility, his clients have come to rely on the assurance of a complex project being built with complete confidence as expected.

Chris has successfully completed hundreds of projects with an impressive list of clients, including large organizations such as The Broad Institute, Amgen, Novartis and Alkermes. However, smaller start-ups and incubators have also come to depend on Chris’ expertise in preconstruction, constructability and value engineering to ensure cost effective results upfront.

Chris has a passionate appreciation for BIM and the BIM process; in-depth knowledge of Navisworks, MS Access, MS Project, MS Office Professional Suite, Bluebeam and other OSTO applications. He has his construction supervisor license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, is OSHA certified and has undergone biohazard safety training.
