2/3/2012, Quincy, MA — J. Calnan & Associates, Inc., one of New England’s leading construction management firms specializing in world-class pre-construction services and challenging construction projects, is pleased to announce that it has recently completed the corporate headquarters for Joule.

Working collaboratively with Boston Properties, building owner; Facilities Management Consultants, project management; Packard Design and Biotecture, project architects and AHA Consulting Engineers, MEPFP engineers, the team successfully converted 45,000 square feet of vacant space to new cutting-edge offices and laboratories that will accommodate Joule’s development as a fast-growing producer of renewable fuels and chemicals.

Stephen Robak, Project Executive at J. Calnan & Associates said, “With all of the complexities that go along with this type of project, communication was critical. By working closely with the entire project team during the preconstruction phase, we were able to resolve any potential issues early on that could have affected our tight schedule and budget. As a result of everyone’s efforts, we were able to deliver the project ahead of schedule which translated into significant savings to our client. It was a win all the way around!”

J. Calnan & Associates, President James Cahill added: “At JC&A, we don’t chase individual projects; rather, we look for opportunities to align ourselves with outstanding clients such as Joule and Boston Properties. We were excited to be involved with this cutting-edge renewable fuels company and grateful for the opportunity to provide them with our premier preconstruction and construction management services.”
